Pacific Salt 2 FRN Yellow, Spyder one of the most popular knives from the line of SALT, the size and shape of the legendary knife Endura. An upgraded version of the lightweight folder, designed for use in extreme conditions by Spyderco's founder, Sal Glesser. Made of suitable for long-term contact with moisture, resistant to salt and rust exceptional steel H2. Knives made of this steel are in demand among sailors, divers, fishermen, survivalists.

H-2 - improved austenitic stainless knife steel successor to steel H-1, manufactured by Japanese steel foundry Myodo Foundry. High-chromium, low-carbon (rolled without heat treatment) stainless steel contains 13.73% chromium, 0.09% carbon, 0.17% copper and 0.06% nitrogen. The knife can stay in fresh water, as well as maritime, will not rust even if left wet after use. The result was achieved by adding chromium and nickel to the steel, and replacing some of the carbon with nitrogen. All internal steel parts have undergone a special treatment, making them resistant to rust and salt.

Spyder Edge - (Spyderco patent) new serrated blade Spyder with improved edge geometry, consists of alternating one large and two small teeth tzw. two-step. This pattern increases the length of the cutting edge by up to 24% relative to a straight blade. Ideal for cutting hard materials, plastics and fibrous m.in. ropes, belts.

Enlarged 14 mm round cutout in the wedge SpyderHole (Spyderco patent) increased the thumb support hump (notched ramp) and made it possible to open the knife with wet or cold hands and in a glove. Serrated blade Spyder Edge derived concave cut (Hollow Grind) for efficient, deep cuts. Blade lock Back-Lock with additional cutout Boye Detent, preventing accidental release of the lock when the knife is firmly gripped.

Handle - in yellow. Made of plastic FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon), glass fiber reinforced nylon. Covered with a non-slip bi-directional textured cover (Bi-Directional Texturing) reinforcing the grip even with wet hands Folder is equipped with a solid screw-on black steel clip (top/bottom, left/right) that allows the knife to be carried in the tip-up position tip-up or tip-down. In the back of the cladding, an opening (lanyard hole) for pulling a leash or rope.
