Helle Hellefisk is a lightweight fish knife and the perfect helper for any angler. The blade is narrow, thin and razor sharp, which is exactly what you need when filleting fish. The handle is made of cork. Therefore, the knife will float if you accidentally drop it overboard. The blade is made of Sandvik 12C27 steel. A popular grade of steel, especially in the world of Scandinavian knives. The knife comes with a traditional Scandinavian leather scabbard.
Helle knife maintenance
Both the handle and the blade should be dried with a soft towel if they get wet. We also recommend the occasional addition of wax or oil. The scabbard should be impregnated from time to time with a colorless agent (grease or wax) to maintain flexibility. Carefully dry the cover at room temperature if it gets wet. All Helle knives are made and finished by hand. As such, each knife is a unique masterpiece because each design is different.
