Unique folder E.D.C. aimed at discerning consumers, combines tactical style with the best materials. Design by respected American knifemaker Rick Hinderer. The folder combines two different options for opening the head, a ball-bearing pivot, a titanium clip and the quality of workmanship for which the brand is known Viper.

Steel

M390 Microclean® - martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so that the blade remains sharp for a very long time (requires minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is the resistance to the formation of "wire" during sharpening. High chromium steel 20.0% (Cr) doped 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), hardened in the range of 59-61 HRC, subjected to vacuum treatment i cryogenic and double tempering. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.

Head

Type Drop Point with a clearly marked belly emphasizes the elegant finish Satin. The small thickness of the blade combined with the high flat grind (Flat Grind) gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. System ball bearings supports smooth opening of the blade, which can be opened with pins on both sides thumb stud or by means of a fast flipper (index-finger flipper). When opened, the fin forms a mini-garden preventing your hand from slipping on the blade. Locking mechanism Liner-Lock. On the back of the head notched thumb rest upper jumping.

Handle

Pieces of solid titanium processed in 3D to which the facings of green G10. All bolted to CNC-milled titanium backspacer, which means practically indestructibility of such a structure. A proprietary system was used here H.M.B.S. (Hinderer Modular Backspacer System) thanks to which we can exchange the backspacer for the one we need most at the moment. TwopOSITION, right / left titanium clip, allows you to carry the knife discreetly in a tip-up position tip-up (tip sharp upwards). Spine Jimping notches on the spine of the covers increase comfort and grip security. At the end of the handle, in the backspacer, there is a lanyard hole, oval cable opening.
