THE EDGE autoSHARP knife sharpener
The Edge AutoSHARP is innovative knife sharpener, which automatically adjusts the sharpening angle depending on the knife model. With the sharpener AutoSHARP you will sharpen and polish not only kitchen knives, but also edc knives, cleavers and outdoor knives.
Simple design
The whetstone has a polymer construction, resistant to mechanical damage and weather conditions.
Small body and minimal weight cause that, despite its kitchen purpose, it can also accompany us on camping, hunting and other activities during which we will need a sharp knife. The sharpener has a non-slip base, double-sided grip and sharpening slot.
Automatic sharpening angle
Unlike classic V-type sharpeners, in AutoSHARP sharpening stone the angle of sharpening rods is variable. Such functionality was achieved through the use of lateral springs on which the abrasive plates made of tungsten carbide.
Sharpener automatically adjusts to the angle of the cutting edge, thanks to which with its help we can sharpen different kinds of knives m.in. kitchen knives, pocket knives, edc folders, outdoor knives and cleavers.
Many knife users do not know the factory angle of the cutting edge, this is where the sharpener comes to the rescue AutoSharp, which solves this problem and quickly and easily repairs a dulled blade.
With the help of the whetstone we can also sharpen serrated knives, which usually require the use of a special sharpener.
Sharpening and polishing
The Edge AutoSHARP is a functional sharpener that allows you not only to repair and sharpen a blunt cutting edge, but also to smooth it out (honing).
Pre-sharpening is done in the classic manner that is, after placing the blade in the sharpening slot (with the tip facing down), pull the knife until sharpness is achieved.
The angle between the handle and the ground of the sharpener should be between 15 and 45°. Polishing is done in a similar manner, except that the tip of the blade should be lifted upward during smoothing.
The recommended angle between the blade and the ground is 15 - 45°. Knives with a serrated cutting edge should be sharpened and polished parallel to the ground (without tilting the blade down or up).
