Native 5 Brown Canvas Micarta, Satin is a new edition of excellence in the field of EDC knives, while being an example of design craftsmanship and advanced technology. The fifth generation of this legendary folder uses a handle made of canvas Micarta composite, valued for its exceptional durability and excellent grip, which increases control during use. This edit, has been equipped with cPM Cru-Wear tool steel blade, which provides extremely high abrasion resistance and excellent edge retention - features particularly desired by users working intensively with a knife. Designed by Sal Glesser - founder of the Spyderco brand - it combines functionality with aesthetics, making this model a reliable tool for everyday use.
CPM Cru-Wear - premium high-carbon tool steel for air hardening with a hardness of 60-65 HRC. Manufactured by US Crucible Industries according to the process CPM (Crucible Particle Metallurgy) as an improvement on conventional steels Cru-Wear i D2 of this manufacturer. Manufactured in accordance with the process of CPM, is more resistant to chipping and cracking than most conventionally manufactured tool steels. It is not stainless steel, to qualify as stainless steel it must contain at least 12% chrome. CruWear includes 7.5% chrome, but still offers a fair level of corrosion resistance. It contains a high content of 1.1% coal, 7.5% chromium, 1.6% molybdenum, 2.48% vanadium and 1.15% tungsten, which provides a balance for key properties: hardness, impact strength, edge retention, machinability, wear resistance and easy sharpening.
