CTS BD1N - american martensitic stainless steel with high content of carbon, chromium i nitrogen. Designed and manufactured in the USA by Carpenter Technology Corporation as an upgrade of steel CTS-BD1, but with a higher working hardness of up to 63 HRC. Noticeable differences are the lack of vanadium and 0.10%-0.15% content nitrogen, which produces almost 4 times as many atoms as vanadium. CTS-BD1N has in its composition more chromium, manganese i silicon which provides better performance. Works well as a knife steel with high corrosion resistance. It provides better strength and noteworthy edge-holding ability, as well as a fine-grained texture.
Ball Bearing-Lock - one of the strongest blade locking mechanisms. Hardened ball bearing housed in a black polymer cage in the open position pressed against the blade by a spring. Made in USA.
