Slipit - the most common non-blocking mechanism used in folders. Uses an improved notchet-joint spring mechanism to keep the blade open during use. When folding, the notches generate a smooth resistance as in a knife equipped with a traditional locking mechanism. Slipit folders also feature a (finger groove) undercut for the index finger between the handle and the cutting edge to prevent accidental closing of the blade.

SpyderHole - (Spyderco patent) round cutout for easy opening of the blade and scissors.

Head - thickness 2 mm with a curved profile Clip Point, provides excellent cutting edge geometry with low friction. Made of holding sharpness well stainless steel 8Cr13MoV (equivalent to Japanese AUS-8 steel). Plain blade Plain derived ground full flat (Full Flat Grind) providing excellent cutting properties and weight reduction. Glare eliminating pcoating Satin Finish (semi-mat). Thumb ramp and finger choil (finger groove), an undercut for the index finger between the handle and the cutting edge make it easier to control the tool.

Handle - covered with stainless steel facings stainless steel. The folder features a screw-on right-handed metal clip, allowing the knife to be carried in the tip-up (tip up). In the back of the shank, an opening (lanyard hole) for attaching the safety wire.
