CTS BD1N - american martensitic stainless steel with high carbon, chromium and nitrogen content. Designed and manufactured in the USA by Carpenter Technology Corporation as an upgrade of CTS-BD1 steel, but with a higher working hardness of up to 63 HRC. Noticeable differences are the absence of vanadium and the 0.10%-0.15% content of nitrogen, which produces almost 4 times more atoms than vanadium. CTS-BD1N has more chromium, manganese and silicon in its composition for better performance. Works well as a knife steel with high corrosion resistance. It provides better strength and noteworthy edge-holding ability, as well as a fine-grained texture.
Head - Leaf-Shaped (leaf-shaped) finished in an elegant method Satin. Opening by means of an enlarged to 14 mm round hole in the wedge SpyderHole so it can be used without any problems by people right and left-handed. The small thickness of the blade combined with the full flat grind (Full Flat) provides exceptional cutting performance, transferring power to the blade stab and providing better point strength. On the back you will find a perfectly made "jimping", notches on which we can place our finger thus improving our grip and control of the knife when using it. The whole thing is locked with a solid locking mechanism Liner Lock.
Handle - are thick pieces of of grey G10, a plastic made from glass fiber compressed under pressure with synthetic resin. Open design tzw. open-backed mounted with steel spacer sleeves reduces weight and makes cleaning easier. The simplicity and robustness of the design provide assurance of many years of use. Clip four-position (right/left, up/down), made of stainless steel, decorated with the company's symbol, allows you to carry the knife in tip-up and tip-down positions. In the back Lanyard Hole, hole for attaching a safety or decorative cord.
