Field compass by Silva is a traditional namap (plate) compass with compact size, so you can easily find a place for it in any, even handy equipment. The compass plate is made of high-quality plastic. The plate has a movable limbus with a graduated scale, and inside the ring are lines for accurate bearing and a scale for making a correction for magnetic declination.

The rotating limbus is equipped with a specially designed dryFlex™ rubberized handle which allows you to confidently move it by entering the correct bearing on the scale regardless of weather conditions. It also works when operating the compass with a gloved hand.

Thanks to its small size, the Field compass is ideal for beginner topographers. Very good for learning how to set azimuths and work with a map. A millimeter ruler and two scales for reading distances from a map were applied to the stand: 1;50,000 and 1;25,000. The kit comes with instructions and a cord for hanging around the neck with a special "safety" clasp that undoes itself when the cord is tightened tightly.
