Opinel Outdoor Knife No.8 - Earth/Green
Opinel Outddor No.8 is a folding knife, which will be great for active recreation in nature and all kinds of escapades.
Opinel Outdoor No.8 is a knife made especially for travelers. The handle is made of polyamide, so it handles better with temperature and humidity differences than wood. Great if you plan to spend some time in the mountains, in the woods or at the lake. It is specially designed to operate effectively in temperatures from -40 degrees Celsius to +80 degrees Celsius.
The end of the handle is reinforced with a built-in rescue whistle with a volume of no less than 110 dB!
The blade is made of highly corrosion-resistant Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel. This makes it much more resistant to the elements when you're outdoors than the standard carbon steel blade found on a regular Opinel knife. The blade is partially serrated, practical for cardboard and other materials with high fiber content. The blade has also been enriched with a slit, which will make the knife much easier to open, but will also serve as a wrench for unscrewing.
The knife has a Virobloc lock, also known as a ring lock. With Virobloc, the blade hinges are firmly locked by the ring. This type of locking system is controlled with two hands to make sure your fingers don't get near the cutting surface. The ring is also used to lock the knife when closed. With the help of a drop of oil, you can be sure that the ring will rotate smoothly.
Rugged Opinel Outdoor Construction makes it a great choice for EDC and camping, but anyone can appreciate its more modern style and survival essentials equipment.
