After leaving as co-owner of Bris, Dennis Holmbacka founded Nordic Knife Design. Founded by a knife industry veteran as a designer and trader, NKD may be a new name, but behind it lies decades of experience. ULU from Nordic Knife Design. A large enough radius to make it an an extremely efficient tool in the kitchen. The index finger hole allows you to place your hand just above the center of the edge, which generates weight and hand strength to cut through vegetables, meat, fish bones with ease. This NKD Ulu is a real beast in the kitchen, and why not on a camping trip. The edge around the blade is smoothly finished and the index finger hole is chamfered.
The head is made of 440 C stainless steel and hardened to hardness 60-61 HRC!
Sandvik 12C27 is mainly recommended for knife applications that place very high demands on sharpness, edge stability and corrosion resistance.
This blade can be easily bound with wooden covers connected by Corby screws.
The head has mounting holes to fit Corby screws (4.6 mm).
