Nordic Knife Design - Korpi 85 head
Nordic Knife Design - Korpi 85 head
After leaving as co-owner of Bris, Dennis Holmbacka founded Nordic Knife Design. Founded by a knife industry veteran as a designer and trader, NKD may be a new name, but behind it lies decades of experience. NKD knives are often minimalist in detail and have an elegant design, features that many would call traditional Scandinavian design. Form follows function. NKD uses the best factories used by many other top brands. With these blades, there is no question of quality issues.
Korpi 85 made of popular stainless steel 14C28N, is probably one of the first full tang blades among the wide range of pukko knives.
The NKD Korpi 85 is basically modeled on the Korpi 95, which is a Puukko profile with a fulltang handle. Korpi 85 with pointed tip and wide middle part of the handle allows for excellent woodworking properties.
This blade can be easily bound with wooden covers connected by Corby screws. If you're looking for a challenge, instead, take advantage of the pin holes that allow you to get a more sophisticated version with covers connected by brass pins.
The head has mounting holes that fit Corby type screws (4.6 mm) or ordinary metal rods.
