Nikwax Footwear Cleaning Gel is a safe cleaner for all types of waterproof athletic and hiking footwear.

Safely cleans, refreshes breathability and imparts waterproof properties.

Waterproof footwear can absorb water simply because it is dirty. During use, the outer surface of the shoes will be covered with dirt, such as grime, which attracts water.

The effects of the water-repellent coating (DWR) are then neutralized, leading to the footwear getting wet in wet areas. Cleaning waterproof footwear with Nikwax Footwear Cleaning Gel will not only remove dirt, but also renew the footwear's breathability, keeping feet dry and comfortable, and renew the DWR layer, causing water to condense on the outer surface again.

Ideal for footwear with Gore-Tex, SympaTex, eVENT and similar membranes.

Usage:
- Wash the shoe under running water to remove dirt and moisten the surface.
- Shake the container before use. Press down on the sponge until the safety catch is released.
- Distribute the gel thoroughly with the applicator.
- Scrub the surface with a nylon brush (such as a nail brush).
- Carefully rinse under running water
- Apply the correct Nikwax waterproofer® to the still damp shoe. Allow to dry.
