Mikov Taurus G-10 Black, N690 125mm knife (TAURUS)
- A collaboration between the Czech Republic Army's tank unit, combat knife maker Roman Hippik and Mikov engineers has resulted in the creation of the magnificent Taurus combat knife.
Taurus finely crafted, heavy combat knife of construction full tang. Blade in the classic shape bowie clip point was made of the well-known and proven steel Bohler N690. Despite the strength-providing thickness of the wedge, the high flat grinding provides excellent cutting properties. To emphasize the combat pedigree of the knife, the cutting edge has also been brought out on the top of the hilt. On the back of the wedge is a jimping, fine notches under the thumb giving better control of the knife while working. The entire blade has been coated with black DLC coating (Diamond Like Carbon).
Handle in the shape of hexagonal, was made of two thick facings of black G10. They were screwed directly tango. The hexagonal shape of the handle, in addition to being remarkably comfortable in any grip, is also meant to symbolize the pin that connects the various parts of the tank track. The handle is finished with a solid, steel head.
The scabbard was made of black kydex, on its periphery are openings thanks to which it is possible to trounce the knife with a paracord or to mount various types of trouncing systems.
The knife comes in two versions, the T1 version is for the civilian market and available to everyone, the T0 version is only for soldiers of armored units of the Army of the Czech Republic. Each knife has a stamped individual serial number.
