Matilda 35L Backpack - Helikon - Olive
Waltzing Matilda is the unwritten anthem of Australia. The phrase does not mean dancing, but a romantic romp with Matilda, that is, in our case... with a backpack. Bushcraft is nothing more than wandering and enjoying being out in nature. And for such an activity, you need a backpack that can hold everything you need on the trail. This design was inspired by one of arguably the most popular and widely developed designs - the ALICE backpack. We decided to redesign the original, keeping the most important functionalities, while abandoning elements that usually bothered users.
Each outer pocket, in addition to a flap with a buckle, has its own chimney that, when pulled, secures the contents from being lost. Pockets are sewn through. This allows him to carry an axe behind them, for example. The main flap has two large pockets for handy items. The gusset on the inside of the flap is mesh and closes with a zipper. The flap is closed with two buckles.
Additional pockets in the MOLLE/PALS system can be attached to the backpack in several different places; on the sides, on the front and inside on a special panel. On the sides of the backpack there are two compression straps, which can also be used to carry, for example, a sleeping mat. There are straps on the bottom of the backpack that can also serve this purpose.
To reduce the weight of the structure, we used a combination of Cordura® 500D material with 210D nylon. This combination also guarantees strength in key areas. The carrying system is based on a plastic padded back with breathable mesh pads and anatomically shaped suspenders. Included is a detachable wide waist belt with PALS cells.
