Design by Molletta, designed by a well-known, respected Italian designer with many years of experience. Michele Pensato (ps. Molletta), is distinguished by a new approach to the use of materials and experimentation in the application of heat treatment and the use of advanced software in the design of knives.

CPM 3V - wear-resistant tool steel with high hardness. Manufactured by US Crucible Industries by particle metallurgy / Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM). Process CPM forms a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. Designed to provide maximum resistance to fracture and chipping in high wear steel. Offers impact resistance greater than A2, D2, Cru-Wear or CPM M4, approaching the levels provided by the S7 and other impact-resistant grades. CPM 3V is hardened to 61-63 HRC in applications where chronic cracking and spalling is found in other tool steels, but where the abrasive properties of high-alloy steel are required.
