A smaller version of the folding knife SR11, which was an evolution of the historic model SR-1 and winner of the most innovative design at the Blade Show.
Design by Molletta, fruit of cooperation with a well-known and respected designer with many years of experience. Michele Pensato (ps. Molletta), is distinguished by a new approach to the use of materials and experimentation in the application of heat treatment and the use of advanced software in the design of knives.
Sleipner - blade made of chrome-molybdenum-vanadium high-alloy universal tool steel with high wear and chipping resistance. Achieves high hardness 60-61 HRC. Manufactured at Swedish steel plant Uddeholm.
Head - about the profile Drop Point with a clearly marked belly provides excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Plain blade Plain brought out flat grind (Flat Grind), which perfectly presents a matte satin finishing. Located on the underside of the head projection / flipper, supported by IKBS facilitates the opening of the wedge. Solid Frame-Lock - reinforced, monolithic blade lock made of erg aluminumal. One of the facings acting as the locking mechanism is reinforced with a hardened steel insert to prevent rubbing of the lock face.
RotoLock - locking mechanism with a patented additional locking mechanism in the shape of a titanium disc by Gianni Pauletta. When the knife is open, turning the RotoLock by about 1/8 turn clockwise wedges the locking mechanism, preventing unintentional release of the blade lock, ensures the stability of the blade identical to that of knives with a fixed blade.
