The deep undercut of the head allows for a secure and comfortable grip, where the hand is positioned almost straight above the center of the cutting edge, thus increasing precision when working with wood. Pas with all Hultafors axes, the Stålberg is hand-forged and made from Swedish carbon steel. As part of the head forging process, the steel axial head is hammered 40-60 times, increasing its density and ensuring long life. This axe was named after one of the blacksmiths from HULTS BRUK - the most experienced blacksmith of the first half of the 20th century - Ernst Stålberg.
