Helle - Nord knife
Nord (north) is more than a direction. It also represents strength, darkness in winter and light in summer. The extreme changes in nature between seasons, the connection to nature and the impact it has on us for the same reason, make us at Helle see ourselves as part of the culture of the north.
The Nord knife was developed to meet the demands of the Scandinavian wilderness. It grew out of our knife maker traditions and went a step further than what you usually see here at Helle. This knife connects our history to how we have evolved as a new generation of outdoorsmen. Sometimes we use our tools differently than our ancestors did.
The handle is made of stunning birch wood. The handle fills the hand perfectly and is very comfortable in the hand. The blade is made of Sandvik 14C28N steel. The steel holds sharpness well and is easy to sharpen. It is also corrosion resistant. The knife is made in full tang construction, which means that the blade steel goes through the handle, making it very strong.
