Fenix BC05R V2.0 is a rear bicycle light with a lightweight compact design, equipped with an integrated rechargeable battery charged via USB-C port and a clip to attach to a belt, backpack or headband.
Version 2.0 of the flashlight has undergone an upgrade that has given it gained more brightness, longer runtime and wider viewing angle.

BC05R V.20 is the second model of rear bicycle light in the Fenix brand's range, which can also be used as a warning light for any outdoor activity practiced after dark.
What sets the Fenix BC05R apart from other models on the market right from the start is its compact size and low weight (only 28 g). The device is IP66-rated, which means that the BC05R V2.0 can be used even in heavy rain, snowfall and high humidity. The body is resistant to a fall from a height of 1.5 m, therefore the light can also be used on mountain bikes.
Battery and charging
Fenix BC05R V2.0 is powered by an integrated lithium-polymer battery with a capacity of 400 mAh. Charging is done through a convenient and fast USB-C port. Full rechargeable battery takes just 1.5 hours to charge and provides a reserve of energy for 120 minutes of continuous lighting in low flash mode or a month of operation at 2 hours per day.
To fully productively manage your power supply, the BC05R has an LED battery level indicator and low battery notification. To check the status of the battery, simply click on the switch one at a time.
Battery indicator notifications:
- constant green light- battery charged (100-85%)
- flashing green light medium battery level (85-50%)
- constant red light- low battery level (50-25%)
- flashing red light-critical battery level (25-1%)
Light modes
The lamp emits red light with a maximum flux of 15 lumens, visible from a distance of more than 200 m. Such a light parameter ensures our safety both in urban traffic and outside metropolitan areas, where maintaining visibility is particularly important.
The light is operated by a single enlarged button, which is responsible for switching on/off, checking the battery level and changing the light modes. The user has at his disposal 6 light variants, divided into 2 brightness groups:
- fast flash mode 15 lumens
- slow flash mode 15 lumens
- constant light mode 15 lumens
- fast flash mode 5 lumens
- slow flash mode 5 lumens
- constant light mode 5 lumens
Thanks to the convex profile of the lens, the emitted light has a wide viewing angle of 180°, which translates into a more effective warning to other traffic participants not only behind the bike, but also to the right and left of it.
Assembly
The lamp has a very simple, convenient and robust attachment system, in the form of a flexible silicone clamp, which does not require any tools. The size of the clamp can be adjusted to fit most bicycle seatposts (20-35 mm). It also comes with an additional clip that allows you to attach the light to your belt, backpack, headband, etc. and use it as a warning and emergency light in various outdoor activities after dark, such as jogging, walking or camping.

The work of the 400 mAh battery was measured in an environment with an air temperature of approx. 21°C (~ 3°C) with 50-80% humidity.
