More than a thousand years ago, a Nordic blacksmith unknown by name created the prototype of the axes used by the Vikings. This classic look of what a simple tool is is recognized around the world and has been largely unchanged for centuries.
The Freya ™ Viking style tool axe is a powerful axe for everyday use that touches on ancient design roots and is extremely functional.

The hatchet is made of tough 1055 carbon steel oxidized black to enhance corrosion resistance.
The handle is made of American white walnut renowned for its resistance to heavy use. The shape of the tool is very versatile: it will work well for both chopping wood and hammering tent pegs with a shoe.
