Condor Survival Puukko Knife
Condor Puukko Survival Knife
Condor Survival Puukko Knife 2822-3.86HC is a Puukko knife designed for survival tasks. Puukko is a classic Scandinavian outdoor knife. Especially in Finland, this knife is mainly used for hunting and forestry purposes. This Condor Survival Puukko is a strong version of this classic design.
This knife is designed for versatile outdoor use. The blade has a scandi cut. It's a good cut for woodworking. Scandi-edge is also easy to sharpen. Even with limited resources and in the field.
Condor Survival Puukko blade is made of 1095 carbon steel. A strong type of steel that is easy to sharpen and handles quite well. the 1095, however, is not completely stainless. Therefore, it should be cleaned regularly and a drop of oil should be added from time to time. The knife has a strong full tang construction. This means that the thickness of the blade runs through the entire handle. Compared to traditional Puukko, where often only the thick shaft of the head is part of the handle, this one is much stronger.
Handle made of paper micarta. It is a composite material consisting of thin layers of paper, impregnated with synthetic resin and pressed together under high pressure. Looks great and is very durable. The white inserts between the blade and scales contrast nicely. The end of the handle has been reinforced with a steel head. This is good for the balance of the knife, as the center of gravity is now toward the handle rather than the blade.
The Condor Survival Puukko knife comes in a traditional leather scabbard with a belt loop that has enough room for belts up to 6.8 cm long.
