The Casström Lars Fält Lock Back Folding Knife N690 is a handmade, highly durable folding knife developed in collaboration with renowned wildlife and survival expert Lars Fält.

The idea behind this knife is that it should be able to do 90% of the tasks that a knife needs to do, but in a format that allows you to carry it comfortably and effortlessly every day.

This interlocking version was very popular and took first place at the Blade Show 2019 in Atlanta USA (Knife Collaboration of the Year Award), despite stiff competition from much larger companies in the category! The knife has a Scandinavian cut, making it practical for handy field work easy to sharpen in the field. The blade of the knife is made of N690 stainless steel, and the sheaths are made of selected pieces of beautiful Karelian birch.

About N690 Bohler steel

Cobalt-enriched stainless steel from Austrian company Böhler. A steel that is very good at keeping the knife's cutting edge at maximum sharpness, while being relatively easy to sharpen. N690 has some properties with other cobalt-enriched steels, such as ATS-55 and VG-10. Cobalt increases the wear resistance of the blade due to its uniform crystal structure.

About the expert survival arts

Lars Fält is an internationally recognized authority on survival and outdoor living skills who has published a series of successful books on the subject. He founded the Swedish Armed Forces Survival School after training with the English SAS and American special forces.
