The shape of the handmade handle provides a very comfortable grasp of the flint. The handle has been impregnated linseed oil and wax, so it is resistant to weather conditions, dirt, etc.

Flint rod made of iron-cerium mixture. The temperatures of sparks obtained from flinting reach nearly 3,000 C, so starting a fire even in adverse conditions is not difficult. Thick 9.5 mm diameter flint rod is very efficient and with average use of the flint will be enough for several years of use.
