D2 - high carbon, high chrome high-speed tool steel heat-treated to 58-60 HRC. Thanks to its high chromium content 13.0% (Cr) offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combination of durability, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. It is characterized by high wear resistance due to the high content of carbides in the microstructure.
Head - type Clip Point finished with scratch-masking Beadblast. The belly extends the length of the cutting edge relative to the length of the blade converging toward the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The small thickness of the wedge, combined with the high, flat grinding gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance.
