Hermod 2.0 large, massively built outdoor knife with a fixed head of full tang construction. Designed by Midgards Knives, a company founded by Dirk Hofmeisterand specializing in designs of handy tactical knives combining Nordic mythology with contemporary outdoor knives.
Head - blade type Drop Point with a thickness of 4.7 mm. Made of tool steel D2, characterized by high hardness and good blade retention. Plain blade Plain, with thick reinforcement beading for strength, was derived flat ground (Flat Grind), providing excellent cutting properties. The blade has been finished using the Stonewash. Notches have been made on the back of the handle blade for more secure hand placement (jimping).
D2 - high-carbon tool steel. With a high content of 10-13% chromium, it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combination of durability, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. It is characterized by high hardness in the range of 59-61 HRC and abrasion resistance.
Handle - made of contoured black composite G10 (fiberglass compressed under pressure with synthetic resin) attached to the tango with screws. Textured handle improves grip security. In the back of the handle is a lanyard hole for a safety or decorative cord. As with most Midgards Messer-designed structures, the company provides 3D plans of the various cladding versions, so you can 3D print the one you like best for yourself on a 3D printer.
Vagina - flat, made of kydex, holes on the periphery for multi-position mounting of a belt holder or neck chain.
