Benchmade 9400 Auto Osborne knife

Benchmade 9400 Osborne knife is automatic version of the iconic edc knife, which this year celebrates 20 years of production.

Osborne 9400 designed by Warren Osborne is one of the most popular edc knives in the world. This is all thanks to the lightweight and functional design and the use of high quality materials that guarantee durability and reliable operation.

Head

The length of the head is 86 mm. It is made of elite stainless steel CPM-S30V. Crucible Industries' S30V powder steel is hardened to optimum hardness 58-60 HRC, so it maintains high sharpness, mechanical strength and is resistant to corrosion.

Its high vanadium carbide content gives it high impact strength and wear resistance, as well as excellent cutting properties. The blade has been coated with a layer of black Teflon, protecting the blade from minor scratches.

The knife has a blade with a profile reverse-tanto with a clear false blade reducing the weight of the head.

The biggest advantage of the automatic knife, is the fast unfolding system and instant readiness for work. Unfolding the knife only requires pressing a button, which is responsible for releasing the lock and activating the internal spring.

Folding requires pushing the button again and manually retracting the blade. Thanks to such functionality, "automats" are very popular among soldiers, uniformed service personnel and edc enthusiasts.

Handle

The knife has green facings made of anodized 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum, which were attached to steel liners, responsible for the rigidity and strength of the structure.

One of the main advantages of aluminum, in addition to its strength and ability to be machined with precision, is its light weight, which is inevitably linked to the comfort of carrying and using the knife. The purple anodized aluminum liner contrasts strikingly with the knife's dark color scheme and will undoubtedly attract the attention of any knife lover.
