Benchmade - 940-2 Osborne folding knife
Benchmade 940-2 Osborne knife
Osborne 9400 designed by Warren Osborne is one of the most popular edc knives in the world. This is all thanks to the lightweight and functional design and the use of high quality materials that guarantee durability and reliable operation.
Head
The length of the head is 86 mm. It is made of elite stainless steel CPM-S30V. Crucible Industries' S30V powder steel is hardened to optimum hardness 58-60 HRC, so it maintains high sharpness, mechanical strength and is resistant to corrosion.
Its high vanadium carbide content gives it high impact strength and wear resistance, as well as excellent cutting properties.
The knife has a blade with a profile modified reverse-tanto with a clear false blade reducing the weight of the head.
Lock
The blade is locked by Benchmade's flagship mechanism, the double-sided Axis-lock, which is prized for its tremendous mechanical strength, dirt resistance, and ease of use for both right- and left-handed users.
Handle
The knife has liners made of durable G10 composite, which were attached to steel liners, responsible for the rigidity and strength of the structure.
