Benchmade - 585-03 Mini Barrage Folding Knife

Benchmade 585-03 Mini Barrage is a small folding knife for everyday use, featuring a supported CPM-S30V steel blade, a contoured Richlite blue laminate handle and the proven axis-lock.

Drop point profile blade

• Benchmade 585-03 Mini Barrage has a classic utility drop-point blade with a flat grind. The blade is made of American stainless steel CPM-S30V hardened to a hardness of 58-60 HRC. The shape of the head, the type of grinding and the quality of the steel used make the blade maintain excellent working sharpness for a long time and have outstanding cutting properties.

• The blade with a usable drop-point profile is finished with a satin (polished) technique. Matte blade is easier to clean and does not reflect light.

• Thanks to the use of a sturdy hilt, a flat grind and a cutting edge with a gently rounded line, the knife penetrates easily and has excellent cutting properties. Transverse cutters have been made on the back of the ridge, allowing for stable finger support when planing or precision cutting.

• The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 2.5 mm, which is a compromise between durability and functionality of the knife in everyday work.

Supported head

• The blade can be conveniently and quickly unfolded with one hand using a double-sided peg, which is convenient for both right and left-handed people.

• The opening process is facilitated and accelerated by a support mechanism. A gentle lift of the double-sided peg activates an internal spring that dynamically unfolds the blade. Such functionality causes that the knife is ready to work in a fraction of a second.

Two blade locks

• Benchmade's flagship mechanism is responsible for safe operation, double-sided Axis-lock, valued for its tremendous mechanical strength, resistance to dirt, and ease of use for right- and left-handed users.

• The knife uses an additional locking device to prevent accidental folding and unfolding of the blade during handling. The slide of the second safety mechanism is located on the back of the handle.

• The knife has contoured Richlite laminate facings, which is produced from recycled resin infused paper and natural pulp.

• The contoured shape, combined with finger cutouts and slanted grooving, provides excellent knife grip and user comfort. The construction of the knife is strengthened by solid 420 steel inserts (liners).

• Carrying the knife discreetly in your pocket is made possible by a standard clip with mounting options on both sides of the handle.
