The Benchmade 535BK-2 Bugout is the 2nd generation of the popular everyday folder, valued for its functionality, lightweight and comfortable use.
Renowned CPM-S30V steel with Cerakote coating
The knife uses a blade with a utilitarian drop-point profile, made made of stainless steel CPM-S30V hardened to 58-60 HRC. The blade with a 82 mm long has optimal size and functionality, great for daily tasks.
CPM-S30V powder steel is characterized by high hardness and resistance to damage, which ensures its optimal sharpness for a long time. The blade is entirely covered with a cerakote hardened layer, which has very high abrasion resistance, and reduces wear on steel.
Reliability and convenience of use
The blade can be conveniently unfolded with one hand, thanks to the use of a double-sided peg (made of black anodized aluminum), thus allowing right- and left-handed people to operate the knife comfortably.
The head lock is, of course, the Axis-lock, the flagship mechanism of the Benchmade brand, valued for its tremendous load resistance, insensitivity to dirt and ease of use.
The Bugout II generation advanced CF-Elite plastic is used in the construction of the cladding. This nylon polymer has been reinforced with carbon fiber, making the knife handle 17% lighter and stiffer (compared to Grivoy).
Like the head and the rest of the cladding are kept in a discreet black color scheme. Gently profiled facings with non-slip texturing, provide a very comfortable and stable grip on the knife.
Compact clip with translation option (left/right), allows you to carry the knife in your pocket in a very discreet, unobtrusive way. There is also a hole in the handle for attaching a rope or paracord braid.
