Benchmade - 4300 CLA Folding Knife
Benchmade 4300 CLA is lightweight automatic knife, fitted with a blade made of stainless steel CPM 154, enlarged unfolding button and facings made of durable G40 laminate.
American tool steel
The knife has a slim 86 mm long blade, made made of 154CM hard tool steel, hardened to a hardness of 58-61 HRC. 154CM is a high-carbon stainless steel enriched with molybdenum, so it can be described as an improved version of 440C.
American steel 154CM is prized for its corrosion and wear resistance (high impact strength), long maintenance of working sharpness and relative ease of sharpening.
Utility head
Blade with a usable drop point profile finished by satin (polishing) method. Matte blade is easier to clean and does not reflect light.
The knife has a gently marked blade belly and a strong hilt. A head with this profile is an excellent choice for those looking for a knife with very good cutting properties and a durable tip.
Transverse cutters have been made on the back of the ridge, allowing for stable finger support during planing or precise cutting.
The thickness of the wedge at its widest point is 2.9 mm, which is a compromise between the durability and functionality of the knife in everyday work.
Instant unfolding
The main advantage of the automatic knife, is comfortable and quick unfolding system. Unlike models with an assisted head, in an automatic knife, unfolding the blade only requires pressing a button, which is responsible for releasing the lock and activating the powerful spring.
Folding the blade requires pushing the button again and manually retracting the blade. Such functionality makes the "automats" very popular among soldiers, uniformed service personnel and edc enthusiasts.
Enlarged release button is embedded in a milled cutout, so it does not protrude above the handle.
When using an automatic knife, it is recommended to exercise extreme caution and prudence.
Reliable lock
Benchmade's flagship mechanism is responsible for safe operation, double-sided Axis-lock, valued for its tremendous mechanical strength, resistance to dirt, and ease of use for right- and left-handed users.
Comfortable grip
The Benchmade 4300 CLA II has contoured g10 plastic facings. The glass-epoxy laminate used is characterized by light weight, high mechanical strength, resistance to water, temperature change, and the action of many acids and solvents.
The contoured shape, combined with the finger undercut and the rough textured plastic, provide a stable grip and comfort in use. A hole in the back of the handle allows the attachment of a rope or braided paracord.
Discreet carrying of the knife in the pocket is made possible by the standard clip with the possibility of attaching on two sides of the facings.
