BaoFeng's UV-82 is a new design dual-band radio (duobander) with increased power of 8 watts, dual display, DTMF keypad and Dual Watch function. Under optimal conditions, it provides reception over a distance of up to several tens of kilometers.
The BaoFeng UV-82 radio is another dual-band handheld transceiver after the UV-5R and UV-B5 and UV-B6 series. It was created by a Chinese manufacturer with a receiving and transmitting track designed from scratch.
The UV-82 features dual display, 42 menu items, selective calling, Dual Watch, LED flashlight, separate PTT for each VFO and many other and useful features. Also included is a microphone handset with dual PTT separate for each VFO.
The UV-5R HT model, in addition to increased power, is equipped with an adjustment that allows you to choose between 1/4/8 watt modes. A special button allows you to switch between two frequencies on a single band:
- transmit/listen on the main frequency
- listening on auxiliary frequency.
Thanks to built-in FM radio we have the ability to listen to your favorite station, the radio automatically switches to the selected channel after receiving a signal from the other station. Addendum HT in the model name stands for improved modulation and increased resistance to interference.
Power base allows charging the radio and the battery itself.
