Created by a German company with over a century of experience, this model is dedicated to both beginners and advanced users training in axe throwing. The C60 hardened steel head is highly impact-resistant, does not dull easily and withstands repeated mechanical stress. The characteristic Rheinland shape promotes stable flight in the air and a secure landing, making it a valued solution for competitions and sports training. The handle made of natural hickory wood is designed for a smooth throw and precise trajectory control. The appropriate length and balanced proportions allow the tool to be easily adjusted to the user's individual style. The hatchet's design allows for both full rotations and short, controlled throws from a shorter distance. It is the perfect choice for training, shows and competitions in the spirit of fair play. Adler Rheinland proves that a tool can become part of a sporting passion if it is properly designed and made of the highest quality components.

Adler – in 1919, in the heart of Baden-Württemberg, master blacksmith Josef Schmitt, returning from the front of World War I, together with his father Philipp, founded a forge in Wiesental, where he shaped steel with passion and precision, giving it the form of tools of lasting durability. Over time, thanks to the continuous improvement of the craft and the introduction of its own handle production, the workshop has transformed into the renowned ADLER brand, whose products - made of certified ash wood and carbon steel - combine functionality with aesthetics. Today, under the leadership of the founder's great-grandson, Tobias Schmitt, the company continues the family tradition of offering gardening and forestry tools that reflect more than a century of quality, durability and innovation. The best proof of the quality of Adler products is their success in the demanding US market, which does not compromise when it comes to reliability and precision.

C60 is a medium carbon structural steel with a carbon content of 0.57-0.65% (by weight). The higher carbon content ensures considerable hardness and high tensile strength (Rm ≈ 700-850 MPa after normalization) as well as good abrasion resistance. Used for the production of high-strength components such as springs, shafts, gears, hand tools (e.g. hammers, chisels) and machine parts. It is characterized by lower corrosion resistance compared to stainless steels.

NOTE! It is not stainless steel, so it requires minimal maintenance after use or if it is not to be used for a long time.

Head - designed for precision of throw and durability of construction. The C60 carbon steel used has been hardened to combine high hardness with adequate elasticity, which is crucial in the case of dynamic impacts on the ground. The Rheinland profile, characterized by a wider base and a slightly rounded blade, facilitates the correct anchoring of the hatchet in the target and stabilizes the flight in the air. Thanks to the appropriate weight distribution, the head supports the user in achieving a smooth, repeatable throw - without the risk of wrist overload. The cutting edge has been profiled to reduce rebound and increase the chance of a precise hit. The finish of the head, apart from being aesthetic, has a protective function - it protects against corrosion and makes it easier to keep the tool in good condition. The attachment of the head to the handle is solid, durable and does not come loose even after many training sessions.

Handle - made of durable hickory wood, known for its natural elasticity and high resistance to mechanical damage. The choice of this material is not accidental - ash and hickory are species traditionally used in the production of throwing and striking tools due to their ability to dampen vibrations and work well with torsional forces. The handle length has been selected to enable controlled, accurate throws at medium distances. The profile of the handle is simple and symmetrical, which facilitates learning the correct technique and ensures repeatability of grip regardless of the user's experience. The shaft is secured with a double wedge made of a wooden wedge and a steel ring wedge, which guarantees safety and efficiency when using the axe. It is a reliable tool in the arsenal of every hatchet enthusiast.

Cover - a hand-sewn leather cover for the head allows for safe transportation of the tool.

Additional accessories - the set includes a spare hickory handle and wedges.

List of knife safety warnings based on requirements
Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety
(GPSR):
* Risk of injury: Use the knife carefully and always hold it by the handle. The blade is
very sharp and can cause serious cuts. Don't try to catch a falling
knife.
* Safe storage: the knife should be stored in a safe
place, out of reach of children and unauthorized persons. Use a blade guard if
is available.
* Use as intended: Do not use the knife for purposes for which it is not
intended, for example, for opening cans or loosening screws. This can lead to
knife damage or injury.
* Caution when cleaning: Use caution when cleaning the knife,
to avoid cuts. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents that can
damage the blade.
* Blade maintenance: Sharpen the blades regularly to keep them in good condition. Blunt
knives are more dangerous than sharp ones because they require more force, which
increases the risk of slipping.
* Transporting the knife: When transporting the knife, make sure the blade is secured,
for example, by using a vagina or sheath. This prevents accidental injuries.
* Keep your knife clean: Clean the knife regularly to remove any food debris
or other contaminants. This ensures safe and hygienic use.
* Do not modify the knife: Do not try to modify the knife or repair it yourself,
if you don't have the right skills. This can lead to damage to the knife
or injuries.
* Warning for children: knives are intended for adults only. Do not allow
children to use knives without supervision.
* Disposal: Dispose of used or damaged knives in a safe manner to
prevent accidental cuts.

This product is for adults only, who have knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can lead to serious injury. The blade of the knife is very sharp and can quickly cut through skin and tissues; so always be very careful when slicing and do not bring your hand close to the cutting edge. To avoid slipping of the knife, it is recommended to cut on a stable and non-slip surface and avoid excessive pressure, which can cause uncontrolled movement of the blade.

Be aware that leaving a knife on the edge of a table, countertop or in easy-to-reach places, especially for children, is a danger. The knife should always be properly secured after finishing work, preferably by putting it down on a stable surface or storing it in specially designed blocks, sheaths or on magnetic strips. Never use a knife for tasks for which it is not intended, such as opening cans or using it as a lever, as this risks both damage to the tool and dangerous accidents.

Blunt blades pose an increased risk of injury because they require more force and tend to slip off the material being cut. Therefore, care should be taken to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. It is also necessary to clean and dry the tool regularly to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. It is recommended to periodically inspect the condition of the handle and blade to detect any cracks, chipping or loosening. If damage is found, the knife should be immediately repaired or replaced with a new copy.

When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand, avoid talking on the phone or watching TV while slicing, and make sure your work area is well-lit. You are reminded that in some countries or regions there are laws restricting the possession and carrying of knives. Before buying or using a knife, it's a good idea to make sure that using it in your location is allowed under the current law.

Adherence to the above rules will enable safe and efficient use of the knife, minimizing the risk of accidents and ensuring the long life of the tool.
