MORAKNIV - Mora Woodcarving Knife 122 (LC) - Natural
MORAKNIV - Mora Woodcarving Knife 122 (LC) - Natural
Classic carving knife by Mora of Sweden with a blade made of very hard steel - laminate. This grade of steel is unique. The blade core is made of high carbon steel surrounded by a softer alloy steel layer. High hardness of the blade (61 HRC) is achieved by proper hardening, which ensures that the blade has higher durability and strength, and the cutting edge is maximally sharp for a very long time.
Mora Wood Carving Knife 122 z 59 mm long blade ideally suited for carving small forms in wood. Mora 122 blade perfectly copes with cutting out all kinds of decorations on carved objects such as cups, spoons, etc. Recommended for all carving and bushcraft enthusiasts.
With an FSC®-certified oiled Scandinavian birch wood handle in a barrel shape and a tapered carbon steel blade approximately 2.5 mm thick, you can take your creativity to a new level. The knife's full rat tail stem, which goes all the way through the handle, provides both strength and stability in every cut, and the handle gives you the ability to shape it to your needs or expression.
The knife should always be in its scabbard when not in use, partly to minimize the risk of injury, but also to maintain sharpness. Carbon steel rusts, so wipe and oil the blade after use. The distinctive wood carving knives are highly regarded around the world and well known for their excellent sharpness and high quality, not least because they are used by skilled craftsmen in Nusnäs, home to one of Sweden's most famous national symbols.
