Police 4 FRN Black Plain, one of the most recognizable and durable folding knives of any created. This iconic folder takes another milestone leap, combining the refined features of the Police model of the fourth generation with the benefits of a lightweight, injection-molded handle.
Distinguishing features Police4 - szero-eye blade brought out ground flat solid; steel liners; extremely durable mechanism Back-Lock; four-way mounted clip. Folder is designed to hide in the slim handle the longest possible blade with high cutting power and compact size when folded.
Head - of profile Clip Point made of Japanese stainless steel VG-10, provides excellent cutting edge geometry with low friction. Hardened in the range 59-61 HRC. Smooth blade Plain was derived by grinding flat (Full Flat Grind) reducing weight and improving cutting properties. Enlarged 14 mm round cutout SpyderHole (Spyderco patent) allows the knife to be opened even with a glove. Notched section of the back of the head, ramp (jimping / crosshatching) positions the thumb and gives solid support, while an arched undercut for the index finger between the handle and cutting edge finger choil jimping makes it easy to operate a folder. Extremely durable head locking mechanism Back-Lock.
Handle - textured in two directions non-slip facings (Bi-Directional Texturing) and notched notches on the backs of the handles (Spine Jimping) strengthen the grip. Made of plastic FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon), glass fiber reinforced nylon. Skeletonized solid stainless steel inserts and solid steel spacer along with the sheaths provide great strength with light weight of the knife. Solid metal screw-on hourglass clip with the possibility of fixing in four planes (up/down, right/left) 4-way clip positions. Hole lanyard hole for pulling the security cable.
