Micro-Melt® Maxamet, extremely hard and durable modern American tool powder steel with low friction coefficient. Going beyond conventional tool steels, parameters similar to carbides - ultra-hard materials used for machining other steels. This phenomenal steel is manufactured in the US by the Carpenter Technology Corporation.
Head - about the profile Spear Point, thickness 3.2 mm. Plain blade Plain was brought out with a ground flat full (Full Flat Grind), reducing the weight of the knife and increased cutting properties. Coating Satin Finish (semi-mat) eliminates glare. Enlarged 14 mm round cutout SpyderHole (Spyderco patent) allows you to open the knife with your thumb. High quality (made in USA) solid head lock type Back-Lock guarantees better smoothness of operation. Corrugated ramp under the thumb and Finger Choil (profiled undercut for the index finger between the handle and the cutting edge) increase control of the knife.
Handle - in grey covered with contoured, non-slip bi-directional textured facings (Bi-Directional Texturing) strengthens grip even with wet hands. Made of plastic FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon), glass fiber reinforced nylon. Made of plastic G-10 (durable, resistant to high and low temperatures, chemicals). Folder features a sturdy metal screw-on clip with four-way (top/bottom, right/left) mounting options 4-way clip positions. In the back of the handle, a hole for mounting a safety cable.
Skeleton - was reinforced with two steel plates to which the cladding was attached. This provides great strength with a lightweight knife. The whole was bolted together with enlarged screws torx for easy twisting and unfolding of the folder.
