Military Model G-10 Black Plain, is one of the most recognizable knives Spyderco. Designed for heavy use, the solid handle allows the knife to be used with gloves and by people with large hands. Reinforced fully demountable bolted construction torx makes it easy to clean and adjust the folder. Manufactured at the Spyderco factory in the USA (Golden, Colorado).
Made of corrosion-resistant, mechanical stress-resistant American powder steel CPM S30V with added carbon, chromium and vanadium with a hardness of 58-59 HRC. This unique steel is designed for the production of premium blades and knives, manufactured at Crucible Inc's steel mills.
Head - laser-cut with modified profile Clip Point, thickness 3.7 mm. Coating Satin Finish (semi-mat) eliminates glare. Plain blade Plain brought out full flat grind (Full Flat Grind) with excellent cutting performance, reducing the weight of the knife. Enlarged 14 mm round cutout SpyderHole (Spyderco patent) allows the knife to be opened even with a glove. Notched ramp under the thumb and Finger Choil (profiled undercut for the index finger between the handle and the cutting edge) increase control of the knife. Improved head lock Liner-Lock.
Handle - covered with non-slip textured plastic facings G-10 (durable, resistant to high and low temperatures, chemicals). The folder is equipped with a bolt-on torx single-position clip that allows the knife to be carried in position tip-down (tip down). In the back of the grip, an enlarged opening (lanyard hole) for pulling a leash or safety line.
