Military Model G10 Black / Black Blade, one of the most recognizable knives Spyderco with a head covered with a non-reflective coating DLC. Designed for heavy use in extreme conditions. Massive handle allows the knife to be used with gloves and by people with large hands. Reinforced fully demountable bolted construction torx facilitates cleaning, folder adjustment. Manufactured at the Spyderco factory in the USA (Golden, Colorado).
Made of corrosion-resistant, mechanical stress-resistant American powder steel CPM S30V with added carbon, chromium and vanadium with a hardness of 58-59 HRC. This unique steel is designed for the production of premium blades and knives, manufactured at Crucible Inc's steel mills.
Head - laser-cut with a modified profile Clip Point, thickness 3.7 mm. Covered with scratch-resistant matte non-reflective coating DLC (Diamond Like Coating). Smooth blade Plain brought out full flat grind (Full Flat Grind) increasing the cutting properties and reducing the weight of the knife. Enlarged 14 mm round cutout SpyderHole (Spyderco patent) allows the knife to be opened even with a glove. Corrugated ramp under the thumb and Finger Choil (profiled undercut for the index finger between the handle and the cutting edge) increase control of the knife. Improved head lock Liner-Lock.
Handle - covered with non-slip textured plastic facings G-10 (durable, resistant to high and low temperatures, chemicals). The folder is equipped with a bolt-on torx single-position clip that allows the knife to be carried in position tip-down (tip down). In the rear part of the grip, an enlarged opening (lanyard hole) for pulling a leash or safety line.
