Designed by Paul Alexander, Dr. Ikuchi (pronounced ee-koo-chee; a mythical Japanese sea monster) and longtime knife enthusiast, this is a completely different approach to the form and function of a pocket knife. Its elegantly curved handle is made of solid, skeletonized stainless steel inserts and carbon fiber laminate / G10 scales. In the closed position, the thin, open profile of the handle completely encloses the knife blade - except for a small textured part of the shank that serves as a fin opener. With a flick of the index finger or thumb, the fully flat ground CPM-S30V stainless steel blade opens and locks securely with Spyderco's patented Compression Lock mechanism. Reversible deep pocket clip completes the package for discreet left or right handed carrying.
