Savotta is a Finnish company that has been producing trekking gear, backpacks and tents for more than 50 years. Founded in 1955, it is a family-owned company has designed and manufactured products for professional and amateur applications and use in demanding conditions. Savotta is known for producing backpacks for the Finnish army. Savotta backpacks have incredible durability and are used very often in extreme conditions, thanks to this, they are used wherever reliable and dependable equipment is necessary, such as in military operations and survival situations.

The Savotta brand sleeping mat is a product that was designed in the 1980s specifically for the Finnish Armed Forces which is a guarantee of lightness, durability and functionality even in the harshest conditions. The mat has a a strong insulating core our body even in unpleasant and snowy terrain and side protective aprons, which widen and increase the working space of the mat providing rest in comfortable and safe conditions.

Savotta FDF Sleeping Pad is made of the highest quality, durable materials. The core was made of solid fDF foam with a thickness of 12mm while the outer shell uses 210 D nylon coated with a protective PU layer and rubberized coating to prevent the sleeping bag from slipping.

The design of the mat has been carefully thought out for use in harsh conditions making it ideal for difficult situations where we need a quick rest in comfortable conditions being protected from the cold coming from the ground and moisture.

The dimensions of the mat when unfolded are 1090x100cm whereby the foam core is 50cm wide. Unfolding and folding of the mat is very simple and fast so you will not lose valuable time. The dimensions of the mat when folded are only 50 cm x ø22 cm thanks to which it does not take up much space in our equipment and is an indispensable companion for every expedition.
