Polar heads are a development of the classic Scandinavian heads manufactured by Laurin. With the enrichment of the head with "Ricasso", the knife binding becomes even easier. Polar heads are ideal for making a versatile knife for everyday use.
Marking. Polar heads have an applied brand logo, which, depending on the production version, can be embossed (older series) or engraved (newer series).

Polar heads manufactured in Finaland by the Laurim company and are used for the manufacture of handmade Scandinavian knives (puukko, leuku). Polar head is made of high quality X55 stainless steel with very good parameters - hardness as high as 57-58 HRC!. Head with very high corrosion resistance, long holding sharpness.
Heads in finished condition, i.e. with removed (sanded) carbon deposits on the skids and back.
Polar heads are an excellent choice for a knife that is expected to stand up to demanding work both in the field and in everyday use. Heads Produced by Laurin have been appreciated for years both in the knifemaker community, as well as among bushcraft, survival or hunting enthusiasts.
