X50CrMoV15 (1.4116) - molybdenum-vanadium high-carbon, martensitic stainless steel, highly resistant to corrosion and wear. Used in the manufacture of knives, high-end cutlery and surgical instruments. It is characterized by a fairly high hardness for stainless steels 57-58 HRC. The chemical composition of the steel was enriched by doping 15.0% Chromium, 0.80% Molybdenum, 0.20% Vanadium.
Head - sharpened on both sides with profile Spear Point, thickness 4.5 mm, hardened between 57-58 HRC. Manufactured from stainless steel, durable molybdenum-vanadium steel that holds sharpness well X50CrMoV15. The blade is coated with a black Teflon-based coating. Smooth blade type Plain, brought out concave cut (Hollow grind) provides good cutting properties. A section of the back of the wedge was covered with a upper jimping, notched thumb rest for easy knife control. Steel rider at the base of the head protects the hand from slipping while working.
