MORAKNIV - Mora Knife Blade 120 (LC)
MORAKNIV - Mora Knife Blade 120 (LC)
Head dedicated to carving knife. Blade length 62 mm will be great for knives designed for precision woodworking. The very sharp end of the blade predisposes it to use in decorative work. The use of laminated steel puts this blade at the forefront in terms of hardness.
Laminated carbon steel (LC)
This grade of steel is unique to Morakniv knives. The core of the blade is made of high-carbon steel surrounded by a softer layer of alloy steel. High hardness, HRC 58-60, can be achieved by hardening, and the result is a knife blade with excellent strength and cutting edge retention. As a result, it achieves maximum sharpness and long service life. The blade can also be bent to a specific shape, which makes knives with this type of blade suitable for wood carving. The laminated steel core has a carbon content of 1% and the sides < 0.2%. Sometimes you may notice that laminated steel blades have a knotty or unfinished surface. It comes from rolls in the rolling mill, where laminated steel is melted down.
