Design by Molletta, designed by a well-known, respected Italian designer with many years of experience. Michele Pensato (ps. Molletta), is distinguished by a new approach to the use of materials and experimentation in the application of heat treatment and the use of advanced software in the design of knives.

CPM 3V - resistant to wear and tear high hardness tool steel. Produced by US Crucible Industries by particle metallurgy / Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM). Process CPM forms a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. Designed to provide maximum resistance to fracture and chipping in high wear steel. It offers impact resistance greater than A2, D2, Cru-Wear or CPM M4, approaching the levels provided by S7 and other impact-resistant grades. CPM 3V is hardened to 61-63 HRC in applications where chronic cracking and spalling is found in other tool steels, but where the abrasive properties of high-alloy steel are required.

Head - extremely sharp Drop Point with a well-defined belly. Smooth blade Plain brought out flat grind (Flat Grind), which looks great with a fine scratch-masking finish Old Black. Thickness of the wedge 5.5 mm provides high durability for all kinds of work that we will perform with it. Finger choil, index finger undercut between handle and cutting edge, makes it easier to control the knife.

Handle - in technology Solid® Knife, obtained from a monobloc (one piece) of waterproof micarta (pressure-pressed canvas with synthetic resin) machined on a four-axis CNC machine tool. As a result, a lightweight, monolithic skeleton (body) of the highest strength was obtained, which is a strong, solid structural element. The grip facings have also been treated CNC obtaining a non-slip texture. On the bottom of the handles projection / dace, protecting the hand from slipping on the blade while working.
