Design by Molletta, fruit of cooperation with a well-known and respected designer with many years of experience. Michele Pensato (ps. Molletta), is distinguished by a new approach to the use of materials and experimentation in the application of heat treatment and the use of advanced software in the design of knives.
Sleipner - chrome-molybdenum-vanadium, high-alloy universal tool steel with high wear and chipping resistance. Achieves high hardness 60-61 HRC. Manufactured at Swedish steel plant Uddeholm.
Head - solid with profile Drop Point with a clearly marked belly provides excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Plain blade Plain brought out flat grind (Flat Grind), which perfectly presents matte black finish MilSpec. Located on the underside of the head projection / flipper, supported by IKBS facilitates the opening of the wedge. In the open position it serves as a lower guard one-sided hilt protecting the hand from slipping off the handle.
IKBS - (ball bearing system) allows fast, smooth opening of the wedge.
Solid Frame-Lock - reinforced, monolithic blade lock made of erg aluminumal. One of the facings acts as a locking mechanism and is reinforced with a hardened steel insert.
RotoLock - locking mechanism with a patented additional locking mechanism in the shape of a titanium disc by Gianni Pauletta. When the knife is open, turning the RotoLock by about 1/8 turn clockwise wedges the locking mechanism, preventing unintentional release of the blade lock, ensures the stability of the blade identical to that of knives with a fixed blade.
Handle - in red. Made with technology SOLID Knife made of one piece of ergal aluminum, processed in 4D using machine tools CNC with non-slip texture for a better grip. This resulted in a single skeleton (body), which is a strong, solid structural element. Two-position left/right, metal compact clip, allows the knife to be carried in the tip-up (tip up). In the back of the cladding, an opening (lanyard hole) on the line and nailer to break windows.
