Design by Molletta, designed by a well-known, respected Italian designer with many years of experience. Michele Pensato (ps. Molletta), is distinguished by a new approach to the use of materials and experimentation in the application of heat treatment and the use of advanced software in the design of knives.
Niolox - tool steel with good edge holding and high strength. Hardened between 58-63 HRC. It is characterized by aggressive cutting and good impact strength. The name comes from the element niobium (Nb), one of the best carbides, which contributes to the wear resistance of the steel. Niolox includes it 0.7%. Easy to sharpen with moderate corrosion resistance, contains 8.5% chromium. Manufactured by German steel mill Lohmann.
Head - massive in shape Drop Point and thickness 5 mm with a clearly marked belly of the cutting edge. Satinized smooth blade Plain brought out full flat grind (Full Flat Grind) provides strength and the tapering of the blade towards the tip reduces weight improving the geometry of the cutting edge. Handle - covered with convex grip covers made of Canvas Micarta, pressure-pressed canvas plastics with synthetic resin.
