Composite wood
KUPILKI products are made of biomaterial. It is a natural composite containing 50% pine cellulose fiber and 50% plastic. The wooden composite is characterized by very high resistance to high temperatures and better durability thanks to its dense structure. Unlike plastic, can be engraved in it. No maintenance, does not absorb odors and is not sensitive to moisture. All KUPILKI products dishwasher safe. KUPILKI products are recyclable. At the end of its life, the product can be ground and become part of a new.
All KUPILKI packaging and labels were created from recycled cardboard. The leather belt in the KUPILCE 5 is made of from reindeer skin. The material was developed by Puugia, Joensuu Wood Technology Center and is produced by Plasthill Oy in the same area, North Karelia.
