Helle - Nord Sleipner knife
Helle - Nord Sleipner knife
Winter in the north may be long and cold. The new Nord Sleipner fits this sentiment perfectly. In the original Nordu, we replaced the 3.7 mm diameter stainless steel blade with a 4 mm diameter blade made of Sleipner steel. The shape of the handle is the same, a revolutionary combination of two handles - a front one for adding finer details and a back one for cutting. The extra weight and thickness of the blade makes this version slightly more suitable for cutting and heavier applications. White inserts and black vagina are also available in this version.
North is more than just a direction. North represents strength, darkness in winter and light in summer. Extreme changes in nature between seasons, attachment to nature and the impact it has on us. This is how we at Helle see ourselves as part of the culture of the north.
Nord knife was developed with the needs found in the Scandinavian wilderness in mind. It has its roots in the tradition of knife making in Helle, but in the case of Nord we have gone a step further. The knife connects our history to how we have evolved as a new outdoor generation. Today, people often use knives in a different way than our ancestors did.
Note: Sleipner is a tool steel and therefore will rust if exposed to prolonged exposure to moisture. Wipe the blade after use and regularly apply a thin layer of oil to protect the blade.
The knife is supplied with a scabbard made of black leather with white stitching and a belt pendant, with lanyard holes at the top and bottom.
