Helle - Mandra FG knife
Helle - Mandra FG knife
When Helle decided on a knife with a full flat grind, the obvious choice was the Mândra. It is small, with good proportions and a leaf shape that encourages cutting. Fits in your pocket, on your belt or around your neck and is always at hand when picking, slicing, chopping or cooking. The new Mândra FG is the ultimate all-around knife for hikers who enjoy food breaks as much as the hike itself.
While the standard version of Mândra's Scandi Grind performs well for most tasks, the Mândra FG excels at splitting. Whether you're harvesting mushrooms or slicing them on a cutting board, the new 12C27 Mândra FG blade will ensure a clean and good cut. Although it has the same shape, it has a slightly thicker upper than the standard Mândra, because the white insoles are thicker. This creates a very balanced blade that can be worked with over time.
Mândra FG comes with a brown leather scabbard with a safety button. White stitching coordinates with the color of the knife's lining.
The original Mândra was the third knife developed in collaboration with "Survivorman" Les Stroud. The name Mândra means "proud" in Romanian.
