Behind the phenomenal qualities of the SUL hammocks is the hammock used in their production mONOFIL, or micro-grid fabric with reinforced weave ripstop. The fabric is highly load-bearing and shows much higher resistance to mechanical damage than standard super-light fabrics. The most important property of MONOFIL, however, is the complete lack of coating, and thus unlimited breathability. The SUL hammock offers 100% breathability and... partial transparency!

SUL is a nod to those who struggle with every unnecessary gram of gear. Our most important goal was to keep all the performance and comfort features known from other models. The weight of the hammock has not been reduced by shrinking its dimensions - it is still a full-lengthfull-size (300×145 cm) hammock accommodating people up to 200 cm tall.

To make the SUL even easier to use, it comes standard with a advanced, fully adjustable suspension system. This is a modified version of our SMUK suspension, which has further reduced weight with the use of super-strong 2mm Dyneema cable. This rope, not much thicker than ordinary underwear cord, can withstand more than 660 kg of load!

SMUK UL suspension is used to hang a hammock quickly and conveniently. At the heart of the system are adjustable lashings, so-called whoopie slings - they can be shortened or lengthened at will, and the adjustment range is 60-300 cm - optimal for effective hammock suspension. Adjustment is made by picking the excess cord from a specially prepared braid.

SUL is attached to trees with 20 mm wide tapes that, when wrapped around the trunk, form so-called tree huggers - a secure suspension point that does not damage the bark. At the ends of the straps we sewed with a quadruple bolt the loops into which the anodized aluminum crossbar is inserted. Crossbars provide a point of support for Dyneema lines, are fast and fabulously easy to use.

Thanks to the easy installation of the straps on the tree and the full adjustment of the lashings, you can adjust the hammock freely after it is already hung up, rather than before, as in the case of ordinary ropes or straps. No more hanging up the hammock "by eye"!

With such a low weight, small volume when packed and ease of use, the SUL can be our companion virtually all the time - no matter if it's a walk around town, a short field trip or a multi-week expedition.
